Swithin is the Program Manager for Just Transition at ClimateWorks Foundation, running a fund aimed at catalyzing the advancement of justice and equity principles in the vital shift from coal to renewable energy in the Global South. The initiative initially focuses on South Africa, Indonesia, and Vietnam.
Before joining ClimateWorks, Swithin most recently served as a Senior Climate Policy Advisor at the NewClimate Institute for six years. In this role, he engaged in diverse issues related to energy transition and sustainable development, collaborating with stakeholders in countries such as China, Georgia, Indonesia, Vietnam, the Philippines, Thailand, and Germany. His project focus and expertise spanned topics in renewable energy, just transitions and JETPs, non-state climate action, Paris-compatible sector benchmarks, and building national greenhouse gas scenarios.
