Sam Baird

Senior Communications Associate

    Sam Baird is a Senior Communications Associate at ClimateWorks, acting as the communications focal point for the Cooling, Industry, and Power programs. He develops and executes communications strategies that elevate these programs, demonstrate the impact of their work, and help advance the field.

    He joins ClimateWorks after a two-year stint as the communications officer at the Marine Megafauna Foundation, translating pioneering research to educate and influence the public and governments about long-lasting conservation strategies. Sam has also worked for the UN Human Rights division in Geneva, guiding digital communications campaigns and growth strategies. Sam brings years of client-facing experience from media firms, including Universal McCann and Assembly Global. He has run marketing campaigns for AMC’s Breaking Bad, The Walking Dead, and Mad Men and led media strategy for Charles Schwab, Pfizer, and Zillow.

    Sam has an MA in Global Communications from the American University of Paris and a BA in Film Studies from San Jose State University.
