Felix Akoyam

Senior Communications Associate

    Felix Akoyam is a Senior Communications Associate, leading communications for the Maritime Shipping, Just Transition and Industry programs. He develops and executes communications strategies that help to increase visibility, raise issue awareness and highlight the impact of these programs while acting as their primary communications partner.

    Felix brings over six years of experience as a journalist and communications strategist for media networks in Africa and U.S.-based civil society organizations working to advance social justice. As a reporter and editor in Ghana, Felix produced several impactful stories and programming on inequality, poverty, diversity and inclusion, health, and democracy across outlets owned by two of the country’s leading media groups, Media General Limited and the Multimedia Group Ltd. He joins ClimateWorks from Applied Economics Clinic, a nonprofit consultancy based in Arlington, Massachusetts, where he worked with the communications team to provide low-cost and pro bono expert services to public interest groups on environmental justice, energy, and equity.

    Felix holds an MA in Sustainable International Development from the Heller School at Brandeis University and a BA in Communication Studies from the University of Media Arts and Communication(GIJ).
