Dr. Jan Mazurek is a senior director with 30 years of experience working on federal and state environmental initiatives. Previously, Dr. Mazurek advised on energy, science, and technology for the California Air Resources Board. She has published two books with MIT Press and Johns Hopkins University along with hundreds of other publications. She holds a PhD from UCLA.
Seth Monteith

He develops climate modeling scenarios, analyzes mitigation technologies, and evaluates the multiple benefits of climate action. His work allows for informed discourse on how and where philanthropic investments might be most effective. Seth holds a master’s from Carnegie Mellon University.
Surabi Menon
Dr. Surabi Menon has over 25 years of experience as a scientist and executive in the climate field and is vice president of Global Insights & Action. Dr. Menon advances climate solutions, identifies investment trends, and sparks action on high-impact opportunities. She served as the executive director of partnerships at COP28 and co-authored the 2007 IPCC report that was awarded a Nobel Peace Prize.
Brian McCracken
Brian joined in 2009 and has held chief financial officer responsibilities since 2012. Brian oversees the accounting, finance, grants management, and facilities functions. Brian has a total of over 25 years of experience in finance roles at for-profit and non-profit organizations and has also held leadership positions in products and business development. He holds an M.B.A. from the University of Virginia.
Anthony Eggert
As senior director for Transportation, Anthony helps to mobilize philanthropy to solve the climate crisis and ensure a prosperous future for zero-emissions transport. Anthony has over 25 years of public and private sector experience working on clean energy technologies and policies. Previously, he served in the administrations of California Governors Jerry Brown and Arnold Schwarzenegger, and worked at Ford Motor Company. Anthony holds a master’s from UC Davis.
