Dr. Jonathan Pershing is the program director of environment at the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation, leading its climate work as well as its work on biodiversity conservation. He has served in senior positions in the U.S. government, including at the Department of State — where he served as the Climate Envoy, and at the U.S. Department of Energy; he also held senior roles at the International Energy Agency and at the World Resources Institute. Dr. Pershing holds a Ph.D. from the University of Minnesota.
